Shaanxi History Museum which is situated in the southern suburb of Xian City, is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China. Shaanxi Province is the birthplace of the ancient Chinese civilization. Xian City was the capital city in thirteen dynasties which in total lasted over 1100 years. So it got the reputation of "bright pearl of ancient city, treasure house of China."
