The Tianshan mountains is a mountain range located in Central Asia. 1700 KM of the 2500-KM-long cordillera stretch through Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. It was famous for its superb nature beauty and numerous glaciers since Han dynasty in 2000 years ago. The peak of the mountains the highest peak in the mountains is Peak Jengish Chokusu (7439 m) on the border with Kyrgyzstan. But the most visited part is the Mount Bogda.

Tianchi Lake is situated on north side of Bogda Peak of Tianshan Mountains, 110 km away from Urumqi City. The lake surface covers an area of 4.9-kilometer squares and 105 m deep at the deepest point. Tianchi Lake is a world-class alpine drift lake. In summer, the lake is unbelievable clean and surround by thousands of snow peaks. It is truely a wonderful resort to visit.
