Fuzimiao is a famous Confucius temple in Nanjing. Founded in 1034, the Confucius Temple consists of a cluster of symetrically-arranged buildings and covers an area of over 26,000 square meters. The temple contains Jiangnan Gongyuan, the largest imperial examination place in ancient China. This area is aslo famous for its snack and souvenir market.
