Shouxihu Lake, or thin west lake, is a historic site and scenic spot in Yangzhou. Actually, it is a 4.3-Km-long wide river. During the Ming and Qing dynatsy (1368-1911), Yangzhou was the richest city in South China; so many decorative buildings were built along the riverbank, which made the lake looking like a beautiful landscape painting.
