Yongling Tomb
Wangjian Tomb, or Yongling Mausoleum, is situated in the northwest suburbs of Chengdu city. Wangjian (847 - 918) was the founder of Former Shu kingdom. The mausoleum was converted to a museum and opened for the visitors. Formed by a series of 14 double stone vaults, the 23.4-meter-long coffin chamber consists of front, middle and back rooms. The coffin lay in the center of the three chambers. On the three faces of the stone plinth supporting the coffin are vivid relief carvings of musicians and dancers, which is the only representation of its kind from a Tang Dynasty palace known. The rear vault contains a statue of Wang Jian, seated, and with appearance of an emperor and an expression of serene dignity.

Unfortunately, robbers have raided the tomb with the only remains being the stone carvings and its structure, though these are an exquisite example of a mausoleum palace.
