Huanglong is a scenic and historic interest area is a World Heritage site in Songpan County in the northwest part of Sichuan. It is 150 km north-northwest of Chengdu city. The Huanglong valley is made up of snow-capped peaks and the eastern most of all the Chinese glaciers. This area is also famous for its colorful pools formed by calcite deposits and many endangered species including the Giant Panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey.
