Wuhou Temple
The Wuhou Temple, located on the southern outskirts of Chengdu City, is a famous Mausoleum complex for the three-kingdoms period (AD220-280). It contains an imperial tomb of the emperor Liu Bei(AD161-223).The temple was built in the sixth century to commemorate the wisdom Prime Minister Zhuge Liang. There are more than 40 statues of historical characters, over 40 tablets and more than 10 bronze instruments such as bells, stoves, tripods and drums. The Wuhou Temple was listed as a national historical site by the government in 1961. Visitors can easily learn and feel the history of the three-kingdoms period, which is the most intriguing part of the Chinese history.
