Shichahai ¨C The Rear Lake
Shichahai is a natural lake in downtown Beijing, which is one of the most popular amusement centers and the most beautiful scenic spots of Beijing. It was surrounded by many mansions of prince, Hutong, restaurants and bars. During the Qing dynasties, this area was reserved for the residence of royal families and highest government officials and the scenery here has been very well preserved over the years. Nowadays it changed to be a place of leisure for common people. Shichahai is also named Lotus Blossom, it has a special attraction in the evening, sitting on a wooden boat, people can do chatting, taste Chinese tea and enjoy the traditional music - lute.
